My approach to therapy is active, relational, and tailored to the individual or family sitting access from me. In addition to empathy and deep listing, I value your time, energy, and personal resources. While I don’t use a cookie-cutter approach, I do believe in depth work, which can take time. I find that clients can have reparative experiences through the attachment built in the therapeutic relationship.
I am trained in psychodynamic therapy and Jungian theory. I hope to help people understand patterns, unconscious dynamics, and how their own natural dispositions inform how we not only relate to others, but also to ourselves. Exploring intuition, symbols, dreams, or how we connect to something bigger than us can be deeply healing. If it feels aligned, we can integrate spiritual frameworks, explore ancestral lineage, archetypes, and/or use an astrological lens, as pathways to deepen insight and self-understanding.
I especially enjoy working with couples, children, and families, and often find that child therapy is most effective when supported by thoughtful family involvement. There can be complex family or dyadic constellations where one person struggles with personality, neurodevelopmental, or attachment issues, such as narcissism, severe avoidant or anxious attachment, or being on the autism or ADHD spectrum. These situations need to be evaluated thoughtfully, and family or individual therapeutic interventions will be formulated based on your unique situation.
I work in person and virtually, as well as offer beach side walking sessions in Pacifica (north end/Sharp Park).
